Longest Night Service - Christmas can be a difficult time of year for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Sometimes the usual Christmas programs, with their up-beat music and “joy to the world” message, may not quite fit with the sadness we’re feeling inside. But that doesn’t mean the holidays can’t still be meaningful. Longest Night is a different kind of holiday service-held on the evening of the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year; this ecumenical and interfaith service focuses on themes of “light in the midst of darkness” and “hope in the midst of sadness”. Service is held on December 21, 2010 at 6:00p.m. at River of Life Church, 703 E. 14th Street, Atlantic, Iowa.

*Workshop materials and content provided by Willowgreen® Resources. www.willowgreen.com.

All workshops are held at the Iowa Hospice Office at 1514 E. 7th Street, Atlantic, Iowa unless otherwise specified.
